US astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams finally departed from the International Space Station this morning to begin their long-awaited journey back home after spending more than nine months stuck in space.

Wilmore, 62, and Williams, 59, are aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Capsule called Freedom, which is set to re-enter Earth’s atmosphere with a Florida splashdown around 5:57 p.m. EDT, according to NASA.
